What actually moves the price on vehicle freight.

Open vs. Enclosed

Open carriers are cheaper and fine for most vehicles. Enclosed protects against weather and road debris, at a higher cost, usually for classic, exotic, or high-value vehicles.

Terminal vs. Door-to-Door

Dropping off and picking up at a terminal is cheaper. Having the carrier come to your driveway and the destination costs more but saves you the trip.

Vehicle Size & Weight

A motorcycle, a sedan, and a full-size truck take up different space on a carrier and price differently.

Route & Carrier Availability

Freight pricing moves with the freight market itself. Busy routes with lots of carrier competition can be cheaper than remote ones.

What’s the difference between vehicle transport and vehicle freight?

Transport means a driver takes the wheel and drives your car there. Freight means your vehicle rides on a carrier truck alongside other vehicles, the way a car is shipped from a factory to a dealership.

Open or enclosed carrier, which do I need?

Open is standard, affordable, and how most vehicles ship. Enclosed makes sense for classic cars, exotics, or anything you don’t want exposed to weather and road spray. We’ll tell you honestly which one fits your situation instead of upselling you.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Freight carriers work on their own schedules, not ours. The earlier you book, the more pickup windows we can offer. Flexible pickup dates almost always mean a better price.

Do I need to be present for pickup and delivery?

Someone needs to be there, or have arranged someone, to hand off the keys and sign for the vehicle at both ends. That’s standard across the freight industry, not an AnyRun-specific requirement.

Is my vehicle insured during freight transport?

Carriers carry cargo insurance, and we confirm coverage details before booking. We’ll walk you through what’s covered and what a bill-of-lading inspection looks like.
